Flat files coming....Wed. 4/23.

We have a few flat files (3 lg size 53"X 47", 2 sm size 41"X 27", and one med size 47"X 33") but will be getting in a truck load on Wednesday 4/23. We usually sell them for around $350 lg, 325 med, and $275 sm, but there will likely be some that have a few more scratches or dents that we will let go for a little less....

Two Jakes rated Best of New York 2007

Two Jakes has been declared as being the "Best Home-Office Furniture" store in the Best of New York 2007 issue of New York Magazine!

From the writeup:
After opening so many glitzy high-rent showrooms, Design Within Reach may be losing its edge, but Two Jakes--a shop with a gritty warehouse vibe--is picking up the slack. Packed with new and vintage office furniture, the store includes fresh designs like a powder-coated aluminum seat from venerable Pennsylvania manufacturer Emeco and a desk in plywood and chrome by Minnesotan newbie Blu Dot. As for vintage pieces, a Herman Miller Aeron chair with a gently scuffed base goes for half the price of an original; a General Fireproof desk from the fifties, stripped and sealed with a clear coat, is $750; and a Saarinen executive chair on wheels, suddenly fashionable in plum, is in pristine condition and costs $225 (at press time, there were fifteen in stock). Try finding that on Craigslist.
